Missed Lessons
Please make every effort to attend all scheduled lessons. If students are sick, however, they should not come to lessons (even just a little sore throat or stuffy nose can spread to me and the rest of the studio). Online lessons are always an option if students are well enough or are out of town. If an online lesson is not possible, students can send me a recording of a practice session prior to their scheduled lesson, and then I can use their lesson time to review and give written/ recorded feedback. Whenever possible, please give me at least 24 hours notice when canceling a lesson. I understand that illnesses can come on suddenly. In these cases, please let me know as soon as possible. Rescheduling lessons is difficult since my schedule is so full. Please utilize online lessons/ recordings whenever possible. Make-up lessons may be offered in some situations as the schedule allows, but they are not guaranteed. If I ever need to cancel a lesson, I will schedule a makeup lesson.
Participation in Theater Productions Outside of the Studio
Students are of course encouraged to audition for school and community shows and events, but they must list their weekly voice/ piano lesson time on their conflict sheet at the time of the audition. I am flexible during tech weeks and performance weeks and will try to accommodate for changes of lesson times then, but outside of those weeks, lessons missed due to rehearsals will not be made up or refunded.
